MAI NGĀ KARU O TE ORA is a suicide awareness, prevention, and post-intervention kaupapa offering a weekly onsite and online support wānanga via Zoom to tautoko (support and encourage) and awhi (care and embrace) whānau, hapū and New Zealand communities struggling with their experiences of suicide risk and/or suicide.

Mai Ngā Karu o te Ora is a suicide awareness, prevention, and post-intervention kaupapa that provides weekly onsite and online support every Tuesday for Māori whānau, hapū, and New Zealand communities that are experiencing suicide risk, and or are bereaved by suicide.

The weekly onsite and online wānanga, aims to:

  • Encourage a focus on well-being and building resilience.
  • Build inclusive Māori and New Zealand Communities to strengthen and cultivate resilience.
  • Raise awareness about available supports and resources for whānau and communities.
  • Increase awhi and manaakitanga to whānau known to be at a higher risk of suicidal distress.
